TQE'S:
Thoughts: After making the chart and this graphic organizer, my thoughts circulated. I knew of some of these learning behaviors, but there were some that I didn't. I think that from the readings and videos we were able to get a greater insight to what these theories are and how they can be applied. I can say that after learning about them I plan on incorporating them into my teacher style. It is important to accept and consider all theories because students might respond different to different learning theories; therefore, there needs to be a variety.
Questions: What is the most effective learning theory? Is there theories that every student can relate to, or is everyone different? When teachers chose what theories to use, is there a strategy to it? How do you know which theories are working? Which theories should I apply to my classroom?
Epiphanies: An epiphany I had was that I have used all of these theories and more. I still continue to use these theories and plan to when I begin my teaching career. I came to a realization that these theories actual work, and that they are helpful when it comes to learning and out-of-school experiences.
I love how your graphic organizer is organized. It makes a lot of sense and it is very colorful which draws my eyes to it. I had a lot of the same thoughts that you had and I think that your questions are very valid questions. I think that your epiphany is something that I had when I was an intern at a junior high school when I was in high school. I think that I often chose to use behaviorism techniques because that's what I grew up with, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is always right.
Your graphic organizer is very color coordinated and organized. I think its really interesting how you connected over learning theories to each other, showing how they are related and really showing you understand each theory. I also wondered what the most effective learning theory is or if it is all based on personal preference. All your thoughts, questions, and epiphanies were really thought out as well!
I really liked the way you laid our your learning theories. I also thought your TQE's were very insightful! I loved your questions that you posed. I had a lot of similar questions as well. I think sometimes as teachers we want to know what the best method is and what is the best way that we can reach our students, but I don't ever think there is a "best" way. I think everything works differently for each student and each teacher. I have come to learn that a lot of teaching is adapting and changing your ideas. I thought it was impressive that you have used these theories all before. It's awesome that you have seen them be successful!…
